One of Maui Reef Adventure’s most popular Maui snorkel tours goes to Molokini Crater, which is also a top snorkel destination in the world. Molokini is a crescent-shaped, partially submerged volcanic crater which forms a small, uninhabited islet located between Maui and Kahoʻolawe.
The crater’s diameter is about 0.4 mile and its shape protects divers and snorkelers from waves and strong currents. Molokini is home to a vibrant and lush reef with great visibility as deep as 150 feet. The best conditions occur early in the morning when you can spot up to 250 species of fish, many of them are endemic which means that you couldn’t see them anywhere else in the world. Molokini is also a Hawai’i State Seabird Sanctuary.
Now, if you want to see all this beauty for yourself, just contact Maui Reef Adventures to book your Maui snorkel tour and we will make sure that you have the best, most intimate, small group experience possible where every seat has a great view!
