Maui is a special place for many who choose to have their ashes scattered in remembrance in Maui waters. We specialize in personal, professional ash scattering services and memorials at sea for groups and families wishing to spread the ashes of their loved ones in Maui. Our seasoned staff will ensure your Maui ash scattering ceremony is as personal and special as your loved ones. 

Our boat is comfortable and accommodates groups of all sizes, with a maximum of 40 guests. Kahu (spiritual leader) and flower urns can be arranged to add a special touch to the ceremony.

All ash scattering ceremonies aboard Reef Explorer are private charters, departing in the afternoon or sunset time from Maalaea Harbor (central and convenient to most Maui resort locations). 

Ash scattering ceremonies that take place December 15 – May 15, also include private whale watching, with up close viewing in Maui’s Humpback Whale Marine Sanctuary, a beautiful and majestic touch to any memorial.
